Egypt Religion & Relaxation Trip

 

Day 1 
Arrive Cairo International Airport, meet & assist as our representative will handle all your procedures through passport control, luggage area and customs formalities. After that you will be transferred to your hotel by a private air-conditioned vehicle. Overnight in Cairo. 
 
Day 2   
Breakfast in the hotel , enjoy an excursion to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus & see the Sphinx , which was discovered in 1912 carved from a single piece of stone, it is a lion with a portrait of a Pharaoh's head, it is also believed by many to be a likeness of Pharaoh Kefren. and then to Valley Temple. After that pay a visit to the Egyptian Museum where you can see the collection of Tutankhamun among other splendid pharaonic artifacts.Then onto the old Cairo where the Romans constructed the fortress of Babylon. Built over the ruins of two towers of the fortress the church of St Mary or more commonly know as the Hanging Church then onto St Sergius where it is said to be the resting place for the holy family. Transfer to Giza train station for departure to Aswan by first class sleeper train. Dinner & overnight in sleeper train. 
 
Day 3
Arrive Aswan train station where you will be met and assisted. Enjoy an excursion to visit High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk then transfer to felucca  adventure trip in Aswan. Sail around the islands and temples of Aswan. Kitchener's botanical. Enjoy sleeping on board and the felucca.
 
Day 4
Sailing down the Nile is a magic experience where you can feel the chilling out atmosphere and good chance for swimming on the Nile River. In the evening have your dinner on board. Sleeping on board near to one of the islands, spread on the Nile bank.
 
Day 5
Breakfast on your felucca. Upon arrival at Kom Ombo, visit the Temple of Sobek, overlooking the river and the rest of our time is spent relaxing and enjoying timeless scenes of local life as we travel slowly down the Nile. Start sailing again & enjoy sleeping on board for the Last night.
 
Day 6
Sail to Edfu then disembarkation from your felucca boat after breakfast. Then visit the Horus Temple in Edfu. After that you will be transferred to Luxor by a private air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy an excursion in the East bank of Luxor. You'll see two of the most impressive temples in Upper Egypt  Karnak and Luxor, Temples. Start your day with a visit to the KarnakTemples, the greatest example of worship in history as It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco Roman Kingdom and was dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. On entering the Temples of Karnak you will see each legacy left by the various pharaohs as the complex grew even larger. The deeper you go into the complex, the further back in time you will travel, with the oldest ruins dating back over 3,000 years. Continue to Luxor Temple which was once joined to the Temples of Karnak by a two-kilometer long Avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to the temple. It was built by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty.King Ramses II was the most famous king in the 19th Dynasty. He ruled Egypt for about 67 years. Luxor Temple has survived Nile floods, foreign invasion and thousands of years exposed to the elements. Transfer to your hotel in Luxor & Overnight in Luxor.
 
Day 7
Breakfast in the hotel, then enjoy an excursion to discover the Wes bank of Luxor. First, visit Valley of the Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial, there are many kings buried in this valley. ( The most known tombs are King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and AmonhotepII ). After that enjoy Temple of Queen Hatshipsut, It was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty(1490—1469 B.C). Queen Hatshepsut, was the famous female ruler of Egypt who posed as a male to gain the throne & the Temple is one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. There will be time to visit at the Colossi of Memnon, which mark the site of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III. These two giant statues standing tall and proud on the West Bank are all that remain of the ancient complex. After finishing your tour drive via air-conditioned modern van to Hurghada, check into the hotel & overnight in Hurghada.
 
Day 8
Breakfast in the hotel, then relish a tour to the Coptic Monastery of St. Antony and the Monastery of St. Paul, which lie at the foot of the Red Sea mountains in the Eastern Desert. St. Anthony was among the founders of Christian monasticism and St. Paul was one of the first hermits & his monastery remains one of the most popular in Egypt. The monasteries, founded in the 4th and 5th centuries. Drive back to hotel & overnight in Hurghada.
 
Day 9
Breakfast in the hotel, in the morning transfer to Hurghada port to take the ferry boat to Sharm El Sheikh ( the trip duration is 2 hours ). Arrive Sharm El Sheikh port, meet & assist and then transfer to your hotel, day at leisure in Sharm El Sheikh. At night pick up from your hotel to be transfered to St. Catherine to have a tour to Mount Sinai ( Mount Moses ) & St. Catherine Monestary, the most famous holly land in the World where located at the foot of Mount Moses.
 
Day 10
Approximately at 2:00 AM start to climb the Mount Sinai, it takes about 3 hours to climb the 7,498-foot peak following the Path of Moses, a stairway of nearly 7 00 steps has to be done by foot then reaching the Chapel of the holy trinity on the peak of Moses Mount, experience the fantastic sunrise at the summit, revered in biblical terms as it is said that God delivered the Ten Commandments to Moses. Rise early to watch the sunrise from the top of Moses Mountain. After this you will descent towards St. Catherine Monastery, which is considered one of the most famous monasteries in the world and it was dedicated to one of Alexander’s rulers, Saint Catherine who was tortured to death for the sake of her new faith. It was constructed by order of the Emperor Justinian between 527 and 565. Is built around what is thought to be Moses' Burning Bush, which has a chapel built a top it. Also you will visit the room of skulls - have lunch at St. Catharine city then proceed to Cairo, check into the hotel & overnight in Cairo.
 
Day 11
Breakfast in the hotel , then drive via air conditioned modern van to enjoy a religious tour to the Coptic Monasteries in the desert at Wadi Natroun which is most important Christian monastic center, a prime attraction for Christian religious tourists who come to the holy land. There is good reason for this. The monasteries at Wadi Natrun. Notable among them is the Baramus Monastery, which was built at the site where Macarius the Great who retreated there in c.330, at a time when monastic life was not yet developed . It settled in 340 AD and is still inhabited by monks. Drive back to Cairo & overnight in Cairo.

Day 12
Breakfast in the hotel, drive via air-conditioned modern private van to to the great Alexandria . It is Egypt's second city reclaims its place in history with the Bibliothica Alexandria the (Latin for "Library of Alexandria") is a major library and cultural center located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. After that enjoy an excursion to visit the Catacombs that lie in the district of Karmouz to the east of Alexandria, the area was called Kom El-Shouqafa or a pile of shards. Then onto the pompay's Pillar is the tallest ancient monument in Alexandria, this column is the last of the remaining relics of the Seraphium Temple. Then pay a visit to Qaitbey citadel, situated on the entrance to Alexandria's eastern harbour where the place was exact of the famous Lighthouse. It is one of the main tourist attractions of Alexandria and really one of the icons of the city. Drive back to Cairo & overnight in Cairo.

Day 13
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure.

- This will be a private tour so, If you need to add or to change anything to the program please contact us to accommodate your request.
- Please note that the company’s representative will be waiting for you with a sign that have your name on before the passport control & will be helping you with getting the entry visa in case you don’t have one depending on your nationality if it allows you to get the visa from Cairo  Airport. The visa cost is $ 15 per person. If not you have to get it from the Egyptian embassy in your country because it is only held by the Egyptian government .
