The History of Egypt

The first state controlling all Egypt was formed in around 3150BC with the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt by Narmer-Menes. It's conventional to divide ancient Egyptian history into a sequence of dynasties, and Narmer-Menes is traditionally the first pharaoh of the First Dynasty.
